Porches

Cedar pergolas, columns, and curb-appeal carpentry.

Overview

Porches done right.

A well-built porch adds curb appeal, shade, and usable square footage to any Valley home. We build new porches, restore aging ones, and install pergolas, columns, and railings that hold up to South Texas sun and storms.

Every porches job at Aguilar Remodeling Services is run by the same family-owned crew that handles the rest of your project. One point of contact, one schedule, one standard of work — start to finish.

Free estimates, plain-language quotes, and no surprises mid- project. If we're not the right fit, we'll tell you upfront.

Common Questions

Got Questions?

Here are the ones we hear most. Don't see yours? Reach out — we're happy to help.

Do I need a permit for a new porch?
In most RGV municipalities, yes — especially if it has a roof or alters the home's footprint. We handle the permit process for you.
What materials hold up best in the Valley?
Treated pine and cedar for framing, composite decking for low maintenance, and concrete or stone for pads. We'll recommend what fits your budget and style.
Can you add a porch to a home that doesn't have one?
Absolutely. We build new porches from scratch — foundation, framing, roof tie-in, and all finish work.
How long does porch construction take?
A standard front porch takes 1–3 weeks depending on size and complexity. Pergolas and simpler structures can be faster.
